Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that Russia's war against Ukraine could be over by means of direct negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

"This is what the team of lawyers, consultants and the negotiating team from the Ukrainian side are working on today. Accordingly, we hope that the positions of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyi will be extremely strong in these negotiations", Podoliak said.

In his opinion, during the negotiations, the President of Ukraine will be able to convey key and fundamental things to the head of the aggressor country.

The situation in Eastern Ukraine

The adviser to the head of the Security Service noted that it is necessary to wait for the situation to develop and assess how serious the offensive fervor of the Russian army will be.

"They have enough resources, enough missiles, they unfortunately continue to bomb our cities. They still have manpower and equipment that they are ready to destroy in our land. So, let's wait a while, and then we can understand the positions and strengths of both sides, and first of all – the position of the President of Ukraine at the future bilateral meetings", Mykhailo Podoliak stressed.

He added that in the coming week and a half it will be possible to better understand the situation.
