The president of Ukraine reiterated his readiness to negotiate with Russian President Putin. He also said he has been ready to do so for two years, CNN reports.

"I think that we cannot end this war without negotiations. We have to use every format, every chance," Zelensky said.

He believes that we need to talk to Putin. "But if these attempts fail, it means a world war III", he said.

Zelensky assured that there can be no compromise on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

"No compromise on our territorial integrity and sovereignty, and the Ukrainian people have spoken about it, they have not greeted the Russian soldiers with bouquets of flowers, Ukrainians have welcomed them bravely, with weapons in our hands," he said.
