President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement in his address on March 18. He explained what the current situation at the Mariupol Drama Theater was.

The head of the state noted that more than 130 people have been rescued so far. As the people's deputy Sergii Taruta told earlier, rescued people left a bomb shelter through the exit which managed to be unblocked first. However, hundreds of Mariupol residents are still under the rubble, Zelensky stressed.

The day before, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, who were dismantling the rubble in the Mariupol Drama Theater, came under the enemy fire.

Russians cynically attack civilians

The invaders have ruthlessly attacked the building where Mariupol residents were hiding from hostile attacks on March 16. Even huge inscriptions "Children" left in front of the facade of the building haven’t stopped the monsters. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, most people survived. But the exact number of casualties is not yet known.
