The tragedy occurred in Zolochiv town, which was occupied by the Russian troops. According to police, the mother covered her 4-year-old daughter with her body, saving her life. The child and the husband were injured, but survived.

The Russian rockets in Merefa also hit a school, a cultural house and a scientific institution. According to preliminary data, there are no civilian casualties there.
The police added that the aggressor country is doing everything to break the Ukrainians' will to win. The Russians insidiously fire at peaceful villages and towns at night, using aircraft and missiles.
"But the love of the Ukrainian people for a free and independent Ukraine cannot be broken. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and Territorial defense units are heroically defending the country," law enforcement officials said.
