Oksana Baulina was filming the destruction after Russian troops shelled the Podil district of Kyiv, according to the newspaper. This report was part of her editorial assignment. The journalist came under new rocket fire while filming.

Another civilian was killed along with her and two people accompanying her were wounded and brought to a hospital.

Previously, Baulina had worked in the structures owned by Russian opposition politician Aleksey Navalny - on the YouTube channel "Navalny LIVE" and in the Anti-Corruption Foundation. After the platform was banned in Russia in June 2021 and recognized as an extremist organization, she left the country.

As a correspondent, Oksana went to Ukraine, where she produced several reports from Lviv and Kyiv.
