The statement was made by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on March 16. He stressed that Ukraine has the right to demand this because women and children are dying and the Russian invaders are torturing the civilian population.

The prime minister spoke about Kaczynski's appeal
Such a peacekeeping mission could secure peace in parts of Ukraine, the Polish official is convinced. This is how he commented on Jaroslaw Kaczynski's proposal, which he had voiced earlier.
We have discussed this idea with our allies. It will be presented at the next NATO meeting, - said the Polish Prime Minister.
At the same time, Moravetsky called on French President Macron, British Prime Minister Johnson and German Chancellor Scholz to visit Kyiv to support Ukraine.
Poland submitted draft for peacekeeping mission
NATO defense ministers met March 16 in Brussels. The head of the Polish agency, Mariusz Blaszczak, presented a draft for a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine to his colleagues.
"I presented it to the allies so that they could think about whether and how a peacekeeping mission could be formed in Ukraine," he said. He pointed out that such a mission is already being conducted in Kosovo.
“Of course, this is not easy. This issue will be discussed, but it is on the table”, - Blaschak stressed.
The United States has already spoken out against such an idea. They fear that the presence of American forces on the territory of Ukraine will only prolong the war and turn it "into something bigger and undoubtedly more serious."
