This is what the advisor to the Interior Minister Vadym Denysenko said on Channel 24.

According to him, one of Russia's tactics was already recognised in the first days of the full-blown war:

  • Capturing Kharkiv and Izyum on one side;

  • Taking or bypassing Mykolayiv from Kherson and trying to encircle the Ukrainian military group in the east with an incredibly wide front, on the other.

"Why is there so much fighting around Izyum? Because the road to Sloviansk starts here", - Denysenko said.

According to him, one of the leaders of the Russian tank army, who was responsible for this area, was recently replaced.
