Interesting Partial mobilization of Russia: first signs of defeat, but wounded dictatorship can be dangerous

Theories and hypothesis

It is claimed that if the pipelines are not repaired quickly, large amounts of salt water will get inside and corrode them. Since the damage to the pipes is very extensive, extremely large amounts of water could enter them.

According to one hypothesis, the divers most likely planted explosives in one of the two Nord Stream 2 pipes as well as two Nord Stream 1 pipes. Tagesspiegel claims that the targeted explosions created strong gas leaks, and the rate of pipe pressure loss was rapid.

Two other theories are suggested when it comes to man made sabotage: special robots with the ability to travel inside pipelines and perform certain tasks and remotely operated underwater kamikaze drones.

Political analysts started searching for an answer to the question "who gains from this?"

Even though the actual reasons for the accident had not yet been determined. Propaganda agents in Russia instantly blamed the US, Poland, and Ukraine. They say that Poland formally opened a gas pipeline from Norway, and Ukraine has long argued that only gas pipelines that travel over land are dependable and secure. Another alleged motivation mentioned is that the US might be attempting to split the EU away from Russia.

As a result of an alleged fabricating accident, Gazprom can stop all gas shipments by sea while also giving itself the option to defend against contract-violation claims by using force majeure.

Under no circumstances, according to all experts, is it possible to restart the operation of gas pipelines during the winter months because the repair work (not sure if it begins) may last for months.

After numerous nations claimed that two Russian pipelines into Europe had been targeted, causing gas to flow into the Baltic Sea, the chief diplomat of the EU promised a "strong and united response" to any deliberate damage of its energy networks.

Who might be responsible for the leaks or any suspected criminal activity on the Nord Stream pipelines, which Russia and its European counterparts spent billions of dollars constructing, remained largely unknown.

Reactions

Russian officials have also suggested that sabotage would be an option after the West imposed sanctions in response to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

Josep Borrell stated that the European Union shares the opinions expressed by Germany, Denmark, and Sweden that sabotage was likely the root of the breaches discovered, Reuters reports.

The EU has neither identified a probable offender or offered a justification for the alleged sabotage. According to Borrell, any intentional interruption of the energy infrastructure in Europe is totally unacceptable and will be faced with a powerful and unified reaction.

Any attempt to disrupt the Nord Stream pipelines would be an attack on the energy security of both Russia and Europe, according to a declaration from the Russian embassy in Denmark.

The Russian document states that the unfounded charges and assumptions that are currently being made across the board were made with the intention of generating information noise and impeding a thorough and impartial investigation.
