Major General Mykola Zhirnov, who has headed the military administration of the city of Kyiv since March, reacted to the words of the Ukrainian president about a single scenario for the capture of Kyiv.

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, quoted earlier in an interview with foreign media, Russian invaders could theoretically enter Kyiv. But only in one case: if they destroy the whole city.

Fighting in the city is most difficult

However, the head of the Kyiv regional administration Mykola Zhirnov does not consider the breakthrough of tanks into the city a very realistic scenario. Of course, our military is also considering such a possibility, but according to the Major General, the fighting in the city is the most difficult.

"It is difficult to fire, maneuver, get ammunition, food and fuel. The city always has hidden ways to respond to the invaders, the possibility of close combat from any house, any basement", - said Zhirnov.

Kyiv is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and continues to function as the Ukrainian capital. The information about the alleged siege of Kyiv is not true.
